Since it was snowing in Chicago on Halloween, we definitely know the summer weather is over! If you’re not sure what to do in the beauty department this fall and winter season, don’t worry. We here at Dr. Dayan’s office have great beauty ideas to share with you, with inspiration from New York Fashion Week. If you want to look your best, read these 5 beauty tips, tricks and trends for fall and winter!
Bold, Defined Eyes and Lots of Lash
On the runway, we saw lots of mascara and strong cat eyes. Standout eyes are going to be a big thing in the upcoming cold seasons. Luckily, you can play with your eyeliner in a variety of ways. If you like a more subtle look, you can apply a thick line of liner underneath your eye and lengthen your lashes with mascara to make them pop. Or, if you’re more experimental, you can draw thick and sexy cat eyes to really make a statement. Either way, your eyes should be the most accentuated part of your face, so try to make them bold and beautiful with eyeliner in your own way.
Don’t Let Your Hair Down
Who says you should let your hair down? This fall, try putting your hair in braids, twists, pigtails and dishelved ponytails. These were big on the runaway. You can go for a more casual look with the pony, or get into intricate braid designs for more formal or fun events.
Check out some of these fun braid ideas from Fashion Diva Design for inspiration. When you do let your hair down, try seeing if you can work a center part. Lots of models rocked center parts on the runway this season.
Make Those Eyes Rich
As you can see, this fall/winter is all about the eyes. Try using rich eye shadow to customize your look. Play with deep colors for the upcoming winter, or keep it light to mirror the freshness of fall. Either way, use a lot of color to highlight your eyes. Great color ideas include rose, ruby, yellow, white gold, purple and sea green. Another cool trend this season is metallic eye shadow. Don’t be afraid to change up your look! Fall is all about transformation.
Keep it Natural
After doing your eyes up, try to keep the rest of your face looking natural and flawless. This means wearing nude lipstick and pigment-rich concealer. Hide any pimples and spots to make your skin look smooth and supple. Apply cream blushes with a warm peach or pink color for a natural, perky flush. This look will help your eyes stand out even more.
Moisturize That Skin
During the fall season, there is a lot less humidity than in the warmer months. This means your skin is more at risk of drying out and losing its healthy glow. If you are prone to dry skin or are noticing your skin getting dry, consider using a heavier moisturizer and try to exfoliate at least once a week. This will keep your face looking fresh, healthy and rejuvenated. Also think about changing up your cleanser. PCA makes a Dry Skin Relief Bar that gently
cleanses, soothes and supports dry skin. The combination of soothing humectants and antioxidant ingredients makes it gentle enough for daily use by anyone with dry skin, which means it’s perfect for the upcoming chilly months. Some suggestions are SkinCeuticals Emollience, it’s a rich non-greasy restorative moisturizer that hydrates and nourishes the skin. And, SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF50. It’s an all mineral UVA/UVB fluid with a light, universal tint to enhance your skin tone.
We hope these tips help you blow everyone away with your fresh looks!
