Selika Gutierrez-Borst, MS, RN is a master’s prepared Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner degree from North Park University. Holding 24 years of clinical experience and expertise, Selika possesses a strong background in Aesthetic Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Adult Clinical Psychiatry. She was a noted member of the Psychiatric Medical Community for over a decade, her experience in psychiatry reflects her genuine commitment and concern for each of her patient’s overall well-being.

Her background in aesthetic medicine, research, and education is met with meticulousness and compassion that her patients respect and appreciate. Selika performs all non-surgical procedures available at SDMD and is Cool Sculpting certified. She works closely on the clinical and research side with Dr. Steven Dayan. She patiently embraced the realm of aesthetic medicine 11 years ago and has gained extensive knowledge, attention to detail and the highest level of patient care.

On the education side, Selika is involved in training physicians, nurses, Physician assistants and medical students for several years. Along with mentoring high school students looking to get involved in the medical field during the summer months.

Prior to working at SDMD and DeNova Research, she worked at Rush University Medical Center and served as an adjunct professor at Elmhurst College. She enjoys continuously learning the latest aspects of the aesthetic field and she stays well-informed on the newest and innovative treatments to improve the skin’s youthful appearance.
